cogersa : Drawing a sustainable future for Asturias
An illustrated book commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the company Cogersa in Asturias
For the 40th anniversary of the Cogersa company, the advertising company Bittia contacted our group of Asturian illustrators to make all the illustrations of the Milestones of the Cogersa company for the publication of a book for its 40th anniversary. From its creation, development of fundamental parts of its recycling systems, to the creation of compost and more!
It was quite an interesting project and a small challenge for all the twelve Asturian illustrators and residents of Asturias who participated, since the events in the history of the company were diverse, and some quite unknown to those of us who do not know the inner activity of a waste company. Documenting was essential, reading the history of the company, looking for photos, finding inspiration, in order to create an illustration that communicates the milestone that each of us had to face.
All the illustrations were created to go inside a commemorative book of the 40 years of Cogersa that also included photos and brief reviews of both the milestone and the illustration.
The milestone I had to illustrate was:
In 2003, Cogersa began to produce its own compost from plant waste and manure.
